It's been a while

Hi there ;)

i've just decided to continue blogging. Because it's such a long time since my last entry i will summarize some of the things that happened:
- played NL25/50 till the end of 2009
- almost broke in the beginning of 2010
- very nice USA trip (vegas - san francisco - santa babara)
- made it back to 50NL, crushed 50NL(10PTBB) and reached 100NL
- played 100nl with 4PTBB -> tilt, tilt, bad play -> 50nl

now im playing on everest and iPoker. but because my bankroll left the comfort zone for 50nl i will play nl25/20 for the next few days to rebuild. maybe i will be back at 50nl next week and back at 100nl in june.

i just want to recap my 2010 goals:

Back to some serious poker action ;)

Finally i've finished my bachelorthesis. My last week before the "deadline" was horrible. I had to work up to 15 hours a day. That was really ugly.
I think i will start my master thesis a bit earlier ;)

I've decided to start on 25NL again, because i didn't play for a long time (ok 2-3 weeks are not that long....).
Yesterday i played my first 2 sessions. The first one was quite ok. I played just a few hands(about 300) on stars and won about 1 stack. But i think my game is not ready for 50NL so far. I will have to play a few sessions on 25NL until i can get back up. I think I'll try to play like 1k hands a day and post a graph at the end of the week. Maybe i can move up again even within this week. So what about the second session do u ask? Nothing ;). I was playing really bad/fishy/donky poker but i was incredible lucky, so i managed to suckout some people and was up like 1 stack. Within the week i will analyse some hands again and work on my game.

less poker, more bachelor thesis

I'm trying to finish my bachelor thesis at the moment. This takes a lot of time, because I have to finish until 14th of september.
Overall i had 9 weeks from the 13th of july. The first 5 weeks i was rarely working on my bachelor thesis. Now i have to work up to ~10h a day :(. As you can imagine there is no time for much poker at the moment ;)
For all who are interested ... my bachelor degree course is applied informatics and i'm writing some kind of licence key generator for my bachelor thesis.

But i have to clear my Fulltilt Bonus, which is at 65% atm, as well.
I'm playing 50NL on Fulltilt, which is running pretty nice. If i can reach 4PTBB over 60k Hands I will try 100NL this year. I also left Everest to clear the $300 reload on Stars. But my roll is still not big enough to play 50NL on stars, so i have to play 25NL for a while.

I'm looking forward to september when i can spend more time playing poker again.

BR Split on Fulltilt and Everest

I'm running pretty nice upswing like on Fulltilt on a few hands and incredible bad on Everest.

I don't want to talk to much about beats, cause everyone knows how it feels to loose or play BE, even though you should be winning -.-.

First NL50 Shots, no Fullt Tilt atm.

I've decided to play NL50SH @ Everest for the moment. Running quite good so far.
I build a nice aggressive image and it really pays. And I think i can make it in the long term this time on 50NL.
In the last few hands i made a large amount of EV $$$ ;).

Next challenge will be $500 for Full Tilt to build a BR on NL25SH.
Hope i will reach the 30-40BI level and catch the EV graph in the near future ;).

Blog Language + FTP Challenge Done

As mentioned in my previous post i will continue blogging in english for now. I think this will push my english skillz somehow ;).

The Fulltilt challenge went great. I was playing really good, but i have to say i'm running significantly better than the last months. My BB/100 is something above 11/100, but i played only 10k hands.

Fortunately i'm going to finish my practical work this week so it's grindingtime again :D. My next challenge will be 50NL. I want to reach 50NL @ Fulltilt and Everest, so i can start my LCD TV and Holiday Challenge on 50NL. Think this will more effective, since i'm mainly trying to improve my poker skills.

Challenge starts on monday on both sites. I think i can continue using aggressive BRM, so i need around 1k on each site to move up. First shots will be @ 850 on each site. Starting BR on each site is $500.

In my last post i promised to post a picture of my little poker setup.
- 22" & 26" Samsung TFT (think i need another 26" Samsung :D)
- PC -> Q9550@2,8 Ghz, 4GB RAM, Leadtek 260GTX, Silent case (want to upgrade cpu cooler and RAM in the near future - maybe a new challenge, who knows ;))

Everything was payed with poker money.
So thats it for the weekend ;).

Handychallenge DONE - New Challenge FullTilt Bankroll

So wie zu erwarten *hust* steht meine Handychallenge bei:

Somit kann ich mich meiner neuen Challenge widmen: Eine Bankroll für FullTilt ergrinden ...
Geplant sind $350, da ich noch den einen oder anderen Dollar da liegen hab, aber es reicht halt nicht fürs NL25 grinden. Ich hatte ja versucht aus den wenigen $ eine BR aufzubauen, aber das ist nichts geworden, da die liebe Varianz wirklich nicht sehr nett zu mir war ;).
Demzufolge, werde ich erst später meine LCD Challenge fortsetzen, da auch noch 2x Urlaub vorher ansteht, kann es sogar sein, dass sie sich noch weiter verschiebt. Aber vielleicht läuft es ja in einigen Monaten auf NL50 gut, dann wird das alles etwas schneller gehen :).

Hier gibts noch den Jahresgraphen. Irgendwie erschreckend, dass ich keinen Monat >20k Hands gezockt hab. Aber es gab halt wichtigere Dinge. Ich hoffe, dass ich während meiner Bachelorarbeit wieder mehr grinden kann, da ich dann meine Zeit selbst einteilen kann.

Ja beim nächsten Update, werde ich mal eine Pic von meinem Poker Setup posten, da ich es auch bei anderen immer sehr interessant finde, wo und wie sie so donken ;).
Und die FTP Challenge wird dann hoffentlich geschafft sein.
Ich überlege, meinen Blog vielleicht auch noch auf Englisch weiter zu schreiben.... aber da ich bisher sowieso nur 1 Besucher auf dem nicht dt. sprachigen Raum hatte, muss ich mir das noch stark überlegen. Für meine Englisch Skillz wärs natürlich nice ;).

Handychallenge - MDA Vario V

So kurzerhand habe ich mich dazu entschlossen mir ein neues Handy zu holen.
Da ich leider als armer Student keine Kohle dafür locker habe ( ;) ), muss wohl wieder das Pokern als Geldquelle herhalten.
Mein neues Handy soll ein MDA Vario V werden. (Wem das nichts sagen sollte: Das gute Stück ist fast Baugleich mit dem HTC Touch Pro 2. Nur leider bietet mein Handyanbieter diesen nicht an.)

Hier ein kleines Bild:


Der Vario V ist mit 116x59x17mm nicht gerade dünn und klein, aber die QWERTZ Tastatur ist schon was feines und darauf wollte ich absolut nicht verzichten.
Jedenfalls ist damit die LCD Challenge erstmal auf Eis gelegt und der bisherige Gewinn wird 1:1 auf meine neue Handychallenge übertragen :D.
Kosten wird mich das Handy ca. 260€, was ca. $370 macht(Kurs 1,4).
Da ich schon ein wenig für den LCD gezockt habe, stehe ich bei:

270 / 370

Ich denke, die Challenge sollte nicht allzulange dauern ;).

(P.S. unten gibt es jetzt eine kleine Karte mit den Locations der Besucher des Blogs. Cooles Feature wie ich finde - Nur die Besucher fehlen noch :D)
